Our Dream for a Girls’ High School

As we prepare our girls to become future citizens and leaders, we must give them the best education possible, particularly at the secondary level.

A high caliber high school for girls in our region of Kenya is urgently needed, not only for the girls of Hekima Place, but also for girls from nearby rural villages and towns.

"Basic education begins to unlock potential, but it is secondary education that provides the wings that allow girls to fly.”

Ziauddin Yousafzai father of Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai

The goal of Hekima Place Academy is to provide a comprehensive education where young women can develop academically, socially, physically, spiritually, and emotionally to ultimately contribute to the betterment of their families, communities, and the larger society. To do so, we will:

  • Create a curriculum that encourages critical thinking and learning while recognizing the importance placed on the Kenyan Certificate of Secondary Education examination.
  • Prepare well rounded women for a life of personal responsibility and community service by promoting high moral and ethical values.

Hekima Place Academy will be a private, faith-based all-girls boarding high school housed in an advanced educational facility that includes classrooms, science labs, a computer lab, and library. In addition, our students will receive a loving, safe, and enjoyable boarding experience that includes dormitories, a dining hall, and recreational fields.
